A note from the family
Forty years on US Highway 46.
Gallo Jewelry has stood on a single stretch of US Highway 46 West in Wayne, New Jersey for more than four decades. In that time we have placed engagement rings on the hands of more than three generations of the same families. We have re-set inherited diamonds, repaired hand-me-down chains, polished pieces that had been to two weddings before they came to us.
We are a small business, family-owned, with one master jeweler at the bench and one master setter beside him. We do not have shareholders. We do not have a quarterly earnings call. We have customers we know by first name, who bring their children in to meet us, and whose insurance brokers we know by name.
Every piece we sell comes with a written appraisal and lifetime warranty, and is held to a single standard — the one we'd hold for our own family.
The Bench
A small loop. Real people.
Our master setter has been at the bench for twenty-two years. He has set over four hundred inherited diamonds. He knows what a stone can take and what it can't, and he will refuse to set anything he doesn't trust.
Our CAD designer can sketch your idea while you watch. From your first conversation to a photoreal render on your phone takes about five days. From CAD approval to your hand takes about three weeks.
This is not assembly-line work. It is one person, on one bench, finishing one piece for one customer.
The Appraisal
The document worth keeping.
Every Gallo purchase is accompanied by a written, insurance-grade appraisal at retail replacement value — the same document your homeowner's or jewelry insurer will ask for.
It is not a receipt. It is a four-page bound document with the diamond's full grading report, the setting's metal weight, prong style, and finish, plus our jeweler's signature.
It is also, often, the document your future insurance broker will see — and the reason you'll come back to us in five years for a re-appraisal.
